Rosh Hashanah Healing

Rosh Hashanah Healing

O Lord my God, I cried to you for help, and you have healed me. Psalm 30: 2 (ESV)

My Testimony

Rosh Hashanah Healing

Falling on “the rock” can have an amazing relevance. Momentous times when you think God isn’t watching can prove that He is intimately involved.

Injury

In August of 2010, I was baptized in a full-immersion observance. I became an active member of Beth Israel Worship Center/The Jerusalem Center in 2009. I know I had been ‘sprinkled”‘ as a baby, but I believed that it was important for me to follow The Lord’s command,””Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28: 19-29, NIV) Jonathan Cahn baptized me in a lake. I joked that I was baptized by ‘John the Baptist’. However, before the baptism, I fell on the only rock on a beach. My knee hurt terribly, but I didn’t foresee any problems. I was just so joyous that I had been baptized.

Unfortunately, my knee was severely injured. and the fluid started to accumulate around the kneecap. When I made an appointment with the doctor. I walked in and was told that they were not sure that the doctor could remove the excess fluid. I didn’t understand why until the doctor walked. He wore a kippah, and I knew it was near Rosh Hashanah. It was close to the Sabbath, and I knew that it was close to sundown. I was blessed that he removed the ‘water”. I went home hopeful that this was the final time that I would have that experience.

Healing

I was volunteering for the Quality Control ministry, which required watching video messages. Another volunteer came in and saw me sitting with my legs propped up. I told her about my knee. She simply said, “You’ll be healed in 24 hours from now.” I was stunned.

Since I had no faith at that time. I did all my “essential dues” that I thought I needed to do while I could still use my knee. Twenty three and a half hours later, I was kneeling while sifting the cat litter boxes. I shouted for joy. I was kneeling on my injured knee without realizing it, and I had absolutely no pain.

I called the other volunteer and said, “You won’t believe it!!!” She simply said, “It’s 24 hours.” I was amazed that day.

Witness

I had a prior appointment with the same doctor. I explained what had happened. I explained, “I was healed by Jesus between this past Friday and the Sunday of the Yoom Kippur service. I even chanted the Yom Kippur sacred hymn. I don’t know if the Jewish doctor believed me, but I certainly believed in My Jewish Healer and Savior.

The Power of Prayer

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
James 5: 16
